If Erik Jilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th match minute, JK Sultan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Arenius to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub got control of the ball when Karl Arenius tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Czech Republic's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jürgen Muruaas was slow to take the kick. During this time JK Sultan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on JK Sultan's corner Jürgen Muruaas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vavrinec Holub quite easily take care of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Svatopluk Capek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janari Veiderma in the 23rd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Dalimil Charvat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, David Rusil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Denis Dostal came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Czech Republic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Dostal couldn't finish the play. JK Sultan's Jüri Vanakool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Jilek in the 34th minute of play. Czech Republic's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Janari Veiderma scored to the left of an out of position Vavrinec Holub, making the score, 1-0. Karl Arenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Vavrinec Holub made a huge save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Sultan's goalkeeper Jüri Vanakool, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Jilek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janari Veiderma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Dalimil Charvat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czech Republic and the JK Sultan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dalimil Charvat hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Svatopluk Capek got a free kick in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, JK Sultan's Janari Veiderma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vavrinec Holub narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 played minutes JK Sultan got a freekick which was hit by Karl Arenius. Karl Arenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. Janari Veiderma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute Janari Veiderma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, JK Sultan's Karl Arenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vavrinec Holub narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Czech Republic defense, Karl Arenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. The Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vavrinec Holub should have stopped the shot. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Arenius in the 95th minute of play.
