With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when FC Zorro's Fathoni Andrich fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Germany booed when FC Zorro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sven-Ove Colin in the 13th minute really tested Tommy Kahn's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute of the match, Fathoni Andrich tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zorro's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Sjögren came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fathoni Andrich, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Sven-Ove Colin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Helström hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ivan Sjögren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Germany booed when FC Zorro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Måns Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erling Holm made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Måns Holmberg immediately put the ball in play. Fathoni Andrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Malte Schiele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Helström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Dreifuss's late challenge caught a FC Zorro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Dreifuss helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Zorro booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fathoni Andrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. After 63 minutes of play, FC Zorro's Fathoni Andrich made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! When FC Zorro's Fathoni Andrich in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Sjögren saved FC Zorro from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 minutes, Fathoni Andrich made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. FC Zorro's Ivan Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 91st minute of play. Sven Krakouer's late challenge caught a FC Zorro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Krakouer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, one of Germany:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Germany. There was no doubt that FC Zorro were the better team. FC Zorro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
