Calistrat Hurmuzescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 4th minute of play. Calistrat Hurmuzescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damir Pongrac in the 5th minute of the match. Croatia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Radu Olăroiu scored to the left of an out of position Ilija Skugor, making the score, 1-0. After 10 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Damir Pongrac. If Toni Mauzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Platon. After a rather tough play, JUNIOR 2012's Albert Grigorie got a free kick in the 26th minute. Daniel Comăneci kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Comăneci in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Anton Platon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Platon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 35 minutes, Daniel Comăneci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JUNIOR 2012 and the Croatia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, JUNIOR 2012's Daniel Comăneci got a free kick in the 35th minute. Teo Gudelj got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Damir Pongrac. Ilija Skugor was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Albert Grigorie capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albert Grigorie really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 45th minute, Radu Olăroiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ilija Skugor. The goal made the score 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Platon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neven Culina got free with Calistrat Hurmuzescu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Daniel Comăneci was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, JUNIOR 2012's Daniel Comăneci got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 60 played minutes Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Domazet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Platon in the 69th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calistrat Hurmuzescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, JUNIOR 2012's goalkeeper Calistrat Hurmuzescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Neven Culina. 81 minutes into the match, Dinko Stankovic dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Calistrat Hurmuzescu, 4-3. Calistrat Hurmuzescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Mauzer in the 88th minute. In the 89th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bosak to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Sever Potoroacă sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilija Skugor skillfully saved the ball. Eduard Kostelac's late challenge caught a JUNIOR 2012's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Kostelac helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute of the match Virgil Oprescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilija Skugor skillfully saved the ball. Radu Olăroiu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ilija Skugor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JUNIOR 2012. After a rather tough play, JUNIOR 2012's Dinu Murgoci got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Toni Mauzer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
