Emiliano Polito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 20th minute of play. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 21st minute. The corner led Hungary's Balazs Lajos to a score. 0-1 in the 21st minute. A hard shot 26 in the game by Emilio Rizzo from a close distance when the talented Fodor Daniel managed to make a qualified save. In the 42nd minute of the match Duri come il marmo got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mary Cau ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adriano Bianchini almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. After 47 played minutes Duri come il marmo got a freekick which was hit by Mary Cau. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Duri come il marmo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Major Barna scored to the left of an out of position Emiliano Polito, making the score, 0-5. 58 minutes into the game, Duri come il marmo's Alberigo Addari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Emiliano Polito in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emiliano Polito made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Mary Cau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Polito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Duri come il marmo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
