Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 17th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to work through Esteco's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 29th minute, Lorenzo Boni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esteco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 31st minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play forced Esteco's goalkeeper Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esteco's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Jiří Petera made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 53rd minute. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Esteco's Jiří Petera. But to his dismay, Jiří Petera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes Esteco got a freekick which was hit by Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esteco's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Esteco's goalie and right to Egbert Nijveldt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Esteco's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Esteco from getting a goal against them. When Lars Meesters came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Meesters couldn't finish the play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiří Petera in the 81st minute of play. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Esteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Perfumo to maneuver through the defense. Esteco made a substitution. Daniel Onega replaced Jiří Petera. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Esteco had won, even though Netherlands had held more of the ball.
