Aron Iurașcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kořán came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Hafız Öztekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Hafız Öztekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Keep Walking Project's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Aron Iurașcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Keep Walking Project's zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Iurașcu came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 44th minute of play forced Keep Walking Project's goalkeeper Aron Iurașcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Keep Walking Project's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Aron Iurașcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aron Iurașcu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when David Eikelkamp got free with Aron Iurașcu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aron Iurașcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 53rd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Bernea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keep Walking Project's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Lars Meesters scored to the left of an out of position Aron Iurașcu, making the score, 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Bas Tuitert slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aron Iurașcu. That made the score 1-4 after 66 minutes of play. 69 minutes into the match, Keep Walking Project's goalkeeper Aron Iurașcu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Aron Iurașcu was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Gustaaf Groeneveldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Aron Iurașcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 76th minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Kořán in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute Pavel Kořán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Keep Walking Project was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hafız Öztekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keep Walking Project's Aron Iurașcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Pana Rama came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
