The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almir Miranda was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mitnarotov FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germano Siqueira to make the kick off. Hortêncio Sena took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 61stth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark's attentive Theis Winther managed to snatch the ball when Christiano Valladares made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Al Wieczorek's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Almir Miranda came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Siqueira came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Mitnarotov FC got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Velasco. Germano Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
