Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 柯默渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 柯默渊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Turgut Zor tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Hamílton Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Fidel Florian with Matías de Senna as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 52nd minute Clóvis Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dagoberto Sabóia was slow to take the kick. During this time Queluzito's players had a chance to rest. Hamílton Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
