Thanks to some nice moves Marcial Silviano could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Wilson Amorim however easily saved by the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Zombori. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 15th minute, Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcial Silviano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Marcial Silviano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. William Zombori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 21st minute of the match. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Pastor Edorta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodolfo Miranda in the 24 minute of the game. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Silviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Silviano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Wilson Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Damaso Orlondon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 3-2. After some careless play in the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Zombori. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Zombori should have stopped the shot. Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcial Silviano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 42 minute of play. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Marcial Silviano tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Silviano was the one to do the kick off. Pastor Edorta hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Viriato Moura 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-4. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Zombori was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. William Zombori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 67th minute. William Zombori was a little too slow when Felipe Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 4-5. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. In the 76th minute ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ were awarded a corner. Damaso Orlondon went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 84th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Zombori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Jorge Joachim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-5. 88 minutes into the match, Jorge Joachim notched a goal, 8-5, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Portugal's Graciano Coutinho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lautaro Acosta, made in the 91st minute of the game. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Joachim's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Jorge Joachim. But to his dismay, Jorge Joachim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-5. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
