Bryant Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Miels, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conner Carragher in the 20th minute of play forced Flying Hellfish's goalkeeper Kazimierz Wielkopolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Flying Hellfish defense, Conner Carragher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kazimierz Wielkopolski. The Flying Hellfish fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kazimierz Wielkopolski should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Australia were awarded a corner. Oliver Rizzo went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Australia's corner Oliver Rizzo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kazimierz Wielkopolski quite easily take care of the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Australia's Dallas Dalglish made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kazimierz Wielkopolski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute of the match, Daniel Afloroaiei tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bryant Reina saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kazimierz Wielkopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Carragher in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Conner Carragher sped through Flying Hellfish's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kazimierz Wielkopolski. The Flying Hellfish players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Australia were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Afloroaiei was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Conner Carragher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conner Carragher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conner Carragher got free with Kazimierz Wielkopolski in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Daniel Afloroaiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Conner Carragher dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kazimierz Wielkopolski, 0-4. After 73 played minutes Flying Hellfish got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Nerio. 78 minutes into the game, Flying Hellfish's Michael Miels nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bryant Reina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Bryant Reina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Howarth in the 84th minute of play. Karl Howarth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Karl Howarth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Bryant Reina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Australia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Australia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
