Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Goi, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Romania booed when Karamázov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Goi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Karamázov's goal looked a bit too open when Rasvan Cristescu came free, but Iuri Law reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Filip Stefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iuri Law made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Serban in the 10th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Karamázov's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Olaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Adam Olaru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iuri Law quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Iuri Law didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costica Vladimiri went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Braulio Uhin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Adrian Bumbescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karamázov's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romania the free kick. In the 32nd minute of the match Adam Olaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iuri Law showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 39th minute of play forced Karamázov's goalkeeper Iuri Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aureliano Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Karamázov got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Aureo. After a rather tough play, Romania's Alex Serban got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Adam Olaru made the kick off in the second half. Rasvan Cristescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Iuri Law made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Adam Olaru put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Iuri Law. In the 64th minute Karamázov were awarded a corner. Ahmet Ege Nesefi went to the cornerflag to take it. Iuri Law took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Stinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sanda Cutov was slow to take the kick. During this time Romania's players had a chance to rest. Karamázov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Iuri Law yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 93 minutes into the match, Karamázov's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Pangratiu came free, but Iuri Law reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Rasvan Cristescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Romania played a much better game than Karamázov and deserved their victory. The Karamázov players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
