Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's attentive Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to snatch the ball when Enzo Kante made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Iker Mincho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Mincho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Haroldo Lorien tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Kang Feng took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Iker Mincho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennie Buckler, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Lorien to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Haroldo Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iker Mincho. That made the score 1-3 after 63 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert got a free kick in the 67th minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Lorien in the 71st minute of play. Wim Wilmes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 73rd playminute. Alvarado de Mar del Plata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Iker Mincho, making the score, 1-5. If Haroldo Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Lorien came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Iker Mincho in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Lorien in the 94th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
