With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Ivan Copil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Copil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Cecilio Jax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Cecilio Jax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 38th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Stig-Inge Joakimsen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Jax having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 庄雄鹏 during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 50 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by 庄雄鹏. 53 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cecilio Jax made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Takacs Tibor sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Copil came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cecilio Jax was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. San Martin de Tucuman's Luciano Selmo was substituted for Sergio Vitin. 85 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balazs Lajos struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cecilio Jax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Justino Confesor replaced Petr Schejbal. In the 89th minute, Antal Valentin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cecilio Jax. The goal made the score 1-1. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
