Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ivan Copil took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cecilio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of San Martin de Tucuman's goalie and right to Lars Meesters. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. San Martin de Tucuman's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Martin de Tucuman's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Ivan Copil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cecilio Jax stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. Ivan Copil in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnout Reekers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when San Martin de Tucuman's Ivan Copil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Martin de Tucuman's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Jax came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Copil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Copil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Paulino Lamberto spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Netherlands's goal. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Cecilio Jax made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Jax made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 77th minute. San Martin de Tucuman's Carmelo Osoitz was substituted for Ubaldo Veto. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt suffered a concussion after 83 minutes and had to leave the field. After 83 minutes, Bartolo Harkaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Martin de Tucuman and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. Netherlands's Bart Zomerhuis was substituted for Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 84th minute, Bartolo Harkaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cecilio Jax had great luck who in the 86thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bart Zomerhuis from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Bart Zomerhuis spun around in front of the goal 86 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of San Martin de Tucuman's goal. In the 88th minute Paulino Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Cecilio Jax made a huge save. The San Martin de Tucuman fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
