Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. Felipe Odol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felipe Odol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to work through Lugano 1 y 2's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Felipe Odol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 32nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Odol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Lugano 1 y 2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Raul Hulberto sent off a good shot on target. If Severiano Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Puch hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Odol having to make a save. In the 44th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 50th minute of the game. One of Lugano 1 y 2:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Luix, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Hulberto in the 63rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Severiano Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 73 in the game by Gustaaf Groeneveldt from a close distance when the talented Felipe Odol managed to make a qualified save. Lugano 1 y 2's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Felipe Odol in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, Agustin Luix notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Severiano Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Felipe Odol made a huge save. After 83 minutes Lugano 1 y 2's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Felipe Odol despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 84 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Felipe Odol was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lugano 1 y 2's Felipe Odol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 86th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Agustin Luix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lugano 1 y 2 were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
