In the 3rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Urtats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Monclús got free with Arnout Reekers in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Guillermo Monclús left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 40 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Urtats came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Urtats in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Kees Mooiweer made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gijsbert ter Kruimer immediately put the ball in play. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Netherlands booed when ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Urtats didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 67 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eugenio Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. ☣ ☠ Ᏸɭนę Gђ๏ຮϮຮ ☠ ☣'s Angelino Bermund was substituted for Froilan Hulberto. Hugo Orlando Gatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 93rd minute. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Lars Meesters fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily take care of the ball. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
