Severiano Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nalder in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Teo Izotz made the kick off in the second half. Severiano Corderro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Schneider, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute Sandro Galishoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Corderro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Austria's Fabio Schneider nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a rather tough play, Austria's Fabio Schneider got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Austria's Sandro Galishoff made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severiano Corderro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emil Seidler charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Seidler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severiano Corderro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 85th minute Fabio Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Corderro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 87th minute of play forced Vikings Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Severiano Corderro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Vikings Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Galishoff came free, but Severiano Corderro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Austria fully deserved thier win.
