The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes De Matoekoes got a freekick which was hit by Bill Rutgeerts. 31 minutes into the match, De Matoekoes's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Galishoff came free, but Nicolaas Versluys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolaas Versluys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Galishoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Bavo Decremer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 minutes, Fabio Schneider mouthed his way into the referee's book. De Matoekoes's Nicolaas Versluys proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save De Matoekoes from getting a goal against them. In the 80th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Wallner to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nicolaas Versluys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Bill Rutgeerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
