In the 21stth minute of the game Paulo Renato Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Denmark's Keld Paulsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 minutes, Chris Nygaard made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilson Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zé Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 40th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Bertram Svenningsen made a precise shot to the right of Zé Vieira. Inazuma Japan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Joaquim Maranhense made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Paulo Renato Paiva sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Zé Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute Joel Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleiton Teles made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Joel Magalhães. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Silva in the 56th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Paiva in the 65th minute of play. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Inazuma Japan's Paulo Renato Paiva. But to his dismay, Paulo Renato Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Vieira. Zé Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Zé Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute of the match. The corner ended in Chris Nygaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira did a great save. When Mikkel Wulff, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 77 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Zé Vieira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Denmark's Lars Steen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cleiton Teles, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Mikkel Wulff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Vieira having to interfere. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Zé Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark.
