Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于震树 in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Esbjerg fB's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wawrzyniec Walicki came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Esbjerg fB's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Wawrzyniec Walicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If 于震树 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 12th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Wawrzyniec Walicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wawrzyniec Walicki having to make a save. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wawrzyniec Walicki. Esbjerg fB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wawrzyniec Walicki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 于震树, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zakarias Brejnrod during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Esbjerg fB's Zakarias Brejnrod got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Walicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balazs Lajos in the 36th minute of play forced Esbjerg fB's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Walicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Hungary's Balazs Lajos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 于震树's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Teddy Øxbøg kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, one of Esbjerg fB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esbjerg fB.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Wawrzyniec Walicki skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 59th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The Esbjerg fB fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Esbjerg fB's Servet Turabi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Major Barna in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wawrzyniec Walicki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Takacs Tibor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wawrzyniec Walicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Walicki having to interfere. Wawrzyniec Walicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hegedus Henrik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Major Barna hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Servet Turabi in the 79th minute of play. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Zakarias Brejnrod ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Antal Valentin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wawrzyniec Walicki. That made the score 2-4 after 89 minutes of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Esbjerg fB's Wawrzyniec Walicki got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Esbjerg fB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
