A collision led to Madvik FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Valdemar Fontoura hit a great ball. Felipe Barreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carles Olle. Madvik FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Venerando in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jacobo Venerando took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carles Olle having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Carles Olle in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Madvik FC's Carles Olle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Lucílio Vilanova kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. When Madvik FC's Lucílio Vilanova in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. After 83 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Teves who took care of the corner kick. Lucílio Vilanova's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Carles Olle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Madvik FC had won after a very even match.
