In the 3rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Vistruario in the 4th minute of play. When Eusebio Vistruario, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tommy Kahn was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Real Suciedad F.C's Prudencio Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 7th minute of play. After 14 minutes Real Suciedad F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frank Sachs who took care of the corner kick. 16 minutes into the game, Real Suciedad F.C's Eusebio Vistruario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Dorio in the 20th minute of the match. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Prudencio Brion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Carlomagno, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Vistruario went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Vistruario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save.
