In the 40th minute, Luís Gustavo Pimenta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Kahn. The goal made the score 3-0. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Gabirel Jesus scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 4-0.

52 minutes into the match, Gabirel Jesus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabirel Jesus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
