The supporters of GD Almargense booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zena Busacca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Zaccheo Andolina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Italy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Claudemiro Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 30th minute of play. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save GD Almargense from getting a goal against them. After 54 minutes GD Almargense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siricio Liotta in the 60th minute of play. GD Almargense's Alexandre Valadares was substituted for Rui Ramires. 65 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Claudemiro Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Curto in the 96th minute of play forced GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy played a much better game than GD Almargense and deserved their victory. The GD Almargense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
