But to his dismay, Yang Yu Hai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 20 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Antonio Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute 邱泉平 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 龙远雄 during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 龙远雄 kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
