After 7 minutes of play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conny Stephansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conny Stephansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Portugal's Felipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conny Stephansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodolfo Miranda hit a great ball.
