Leighton Davies made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Atlético Matorrales's Isidoro Menezes. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Tadeo Quilino sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Quilino. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Atlético Matorrales getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonas Bilintx hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Issac Dawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anastasio Caton hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Leonardo Loco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Leighton Davies in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Matorrales's Isidoro Menezes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Bilintx got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Atlético Matorrales's Tadeo Quilino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tadeo Quilino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Atlético Matorrales booed when England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Cox didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Ambrosio Damario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Gallagher.
