Ramiro Enrique who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Wilson Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ramiro Enrique's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Wilson Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ramiro Enrique tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolás Tagliafico, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in lןןl La Coconeta's zone, Felipe Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediberto Righi came out of the goal and Felipe Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediberto Righi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, lןןl La Coconeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Zanetti to maneuver through the defense.
