Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Viriato Moura took the kick off in the first half of the match. With his leg Wilson Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Carqueja's Elizardo Massana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Vielva in the 17th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Cortez Olalde in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Lars Batzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Moreira. Felipe Barreto scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Batzer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ereinotz Masbernat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lars Batzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's attack was well implemented in the 32nd minute, but when Caetano Moreira was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabricio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Batzer having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Lars Batzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Caetano Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lars Batzer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elizardo Massana made a kick off. Mario Vielva took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Alfredo Solares in the 62nd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan-Alfredo Solares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Lars Batzer made a huge save. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Alfredo Solares in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Batzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elizardo Massana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carqueja's Oliverio Cavallosa was substituted for Juan-Alfredo Solares. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elizardo Massana went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Carqueja's Roderigo Villamizar was substituted for Ereinotz Masbernat. In the 94th minute, Bartolomeu Dias made a precise shot to the right of Lars Batzer. Carqueja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. 96 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Batzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 98th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Pimentel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lars Batzer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
