The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 谢峰建 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 8th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Fc S.Zaharesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aleksander Eriksrud quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 10th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Eriksrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game 谢峰建 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aleksander Eriksrud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Eriksrud having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of play forced Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Aleksander Eriksrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, 谢峰建 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc S.Zaharesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breixo Bouzas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Aleksander Eriksrud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kees Mooiweer made in the 32nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gijsbert ter Kruimer immediately put the ball in play. After 35 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Aplugăriței. After 46 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Puric. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Horacio Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goalkeeper Aleksander Eriksrud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Meesters. Fc S.Zaharesti's Viorel Puric quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kees Mooiweer, made in the 56th minute of the game. In the 59th minute 谢峰建 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aleksander Eriksrud could save by the left post. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kees Mooiweer made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gijsbert ter Kruimer immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Fc S.Zaharesti defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aleksander Eriksrud. The Fc S.Zaharesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aleksander Eriksrud should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksander Eriksrud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Fc S.Zaharesti's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Aleksander Eriksrud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Breixo Bouzas. Aleksander Eriksrud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 85th minute of play. Aleksander Eriksrud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 88th minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Fc S.Zaharesti got a freekick which was hit by Gandalf Popescu. The Netherlands players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Fc S.Zaharesti from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
