The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Emmanuel Corley scored 2-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hal Mackey made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Corley, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Hal Mackey was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 89th match minute, Western Springs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilbert Hatfield to maneuver through the defense. Hal Mackey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Major Barna went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Hal Mackey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. The Western Springs FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
