Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antal Valentin started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valadas's Takeshi Schims in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Valido. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valadas's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 27th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Bomba in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Hermínio Bomba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vörös Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. After 42 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Valente. Hermínio Bomba struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valadas.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Cunha made a kick off. After 54 minutes Valadas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Valadas's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Valadas from getting a goal against them. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Valadas's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Valadas from getting a goal against them. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Bomba in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Bomba who took care of the corner kick. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Cunha in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Valadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrício Curado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hegedus Henrik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Hermínio Bomba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Hermínio Bomba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Nuno Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With his leg Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Cunha in the 93rd minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Valadas were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
