Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frank Sachs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tomas Sherman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lionel Egan charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lionel Egan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Lionel Egan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hal Mackey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Stein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Frank Sachs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hal Mackey quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Wilbert Hatfield took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emmanuel Corley got free with Tommy Kahn in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Sherman in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Tomas Sherman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Egan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Western Springs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilbert Hatfield to maneuver through the defense. Albin Holweck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hal Mackey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute. After 45 minutes, Charlie Armenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Western Springs FC and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Western Springs FC's Charlie Armenta got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Emmanuel Corley made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Germany booed when Western Springs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colby Saucedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Albin Holweck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hal Mackey was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 59thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Western Springs FC's Hal Mackey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Western Springs FC were awarded a corner. Emmanuel Corley went to the cornerflag to take it. Emmanuel Corley might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emmanuel Corley ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Tomas Sherman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Tomas Sherman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Sherman in the 70th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, Tomas Sherman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Tomas Sherman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Western Springs FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. A collision led to Western Springs FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tomas Sherman hit a great ball. When Lionel Egan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Western Springs FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lionel Egan couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Germany fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Western Springs FC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emmanuel Corley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. 6-1.
