João Francisco Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. João Francisco Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 27th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Só de Fula F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Vander. 34 minutes into the match, Só de Fula F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but João Francisco Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Jeferson Lucas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-3. João Francisco Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clemente Queirós was the one to do the kick off. In the 67th minute of the game Enio Custódio made a throw-in which Carlos Augusto Vander played forward. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. João Francisco Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Custódio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the game, Richard Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Só de Fula F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Só de Fula F.C.'s zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Loyola came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Francisco Loyola was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Bertram Svenningsen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bertram Svenningsen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
