The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sigfrido Auletta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tạ I having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaccheo Andolina got free with Tạ I in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Begu Ganjang's Tạ I proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Begu Ganjang from getting a goal against them. After having played for 13 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's goalkeeper Tạ I had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Tạ I made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. Tạ I showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siricio Liotta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Begu Ganjang got a freekick which was hit by Cosmas Simbolon. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anak Selby in the 35th minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anak Selby to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Harun Alptekin made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. In the 54th minute Sostene Vitulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tạ I saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Begu Ganjang's Tạ I played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Begu Ganjang's Anak Selby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Cutri hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Anak Selby tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Begu Ganjang defense, Siricio Liotta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tạ I. The Begu Ganjang fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tạ I should have stopped the shot. Begu Ganjang's David Trezeguet was substituted for Anak Selby. 79 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Begu Ganjang's Tạ I. Tạ I was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tạ I took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tạ I made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 84th minute of play. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Trezeguet in the 87th minute of play. There was no doubt that Italy were the better team. Italy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
