Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kristián Pražan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Faustino Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristián Pražan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Barreto scored 2-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristián Pražan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. El Boudiaf was the one to do the kick off. Taliban FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Felipe Barreto scored to the left of an out of position Kristián Pražan, making the score, 2-2. Kristián Pražan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Felipe Barreto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Kristián Pražan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Taliban FC's Walid Prévost got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Taliban FC got a freekick which was hit by Walid Prévost. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from El Boudiaf in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers El Boudiaf in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Kristián Pražan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 77th minute. The supporters of Portugal booed when Taliban FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eron Abasalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Taliban FC's goalkeeper Kristián Pražan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 87 minutes, El Boudiaf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taliban FC and the Portugal players grew even worse after the yellow card. El Boudiaf kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Taliban FC's Jerry Featherson got a free kick in the 88th minute. Kristián Pražan came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipinho Amorim. But to his dismay, Felipinho Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3.
