The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Janik Vogt's late challenge caught a YuSuF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gencalp Erserim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Albin Holweck fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gencalp Erserim, passed just outside the right post. Gencalp Erserim came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Germany booed when YuSuF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Müfit Yumlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Gencalp Erserim 81 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Germany. Frank Sachs stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gencalp Erserim. 0-3. If Chris Mergenthaler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, one of YuSuF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Germany. Frank Sachs stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gencalp Erserim. 0-4. Germany's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
