Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ferid Songur kicked off to start the match. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İbrahim Efe Paye stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Galatasaray's İbrahim Efe Paye. İbrahim Efe Paye was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Ahmet Göktuğ Eker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galatasaray's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. İbrahim Efe Paye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İbrahim Efe Paye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. İbrahim Efe Paye stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Major Barna's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İbrahim Efe Paye was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Hungary booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selami Hunalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. İbrahim Efe Paye didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Ahmet Göktuğ Eker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. After the first half Hungary were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Göktuğ Eker's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 67 minutes of play, Galatasaray's Ferid Songur made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute Tayfur Başeskioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Ferid Songur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Ferid Songur came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferid Songur in the 94th minute of play. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
