In the 3rd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gabriel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Tiago Gabriel Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gabriel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Alvarenga in the 19th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Kieca in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Arthur Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. 32 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Tiago Gabriel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcin Kieca in the 33rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Gabriel Gomes having to make a save. Tiago Gabriel Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcin Kieca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 53 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Carolo Leguizamón took a good shot, in the 54th minute, which hit the crossbar above Arnout Reekers's head, and flew over the goal. Netherlands's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 58th minute of play forced LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
