Mané Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Xacintu Magadan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mané Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of play. Mané Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Osmundsen in the 30th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Szaniszló in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Mané Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Maraponga FAC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lars Meesters made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Maraponga FAC's Mané Andrade managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Verlet, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Jimmy Lind tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Verlet, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mané Andrade came out and tried to block the shot, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 75th minute. Maraponga FAC's Benjamin da Rocha was substituted for Flávio Cannavaro. 86 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper Mané Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Mané Andrade was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Gustaaf Groeneveldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. Egbert Nijveldt charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egbert Nijveldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
