Sigfrido Auletta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitaliy Vischak having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitaliy Vischak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Italy's goalie and right to Cyprien Combaz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Italy's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrián Espadas in the 39th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zena Busacca during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gagriel. Vitaliy Vischak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Adrián Espadas. Soroca F.C.'s Godofredo Quilino was substituted for Christian Gagriel. 63 minutes into the game, Cyprien Combaz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Siricio Liotta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Vitaliy Vischak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vitaliy Vischak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Răzvan Necula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. In the 94th minute, Adriano Curto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Italy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4.
