The supporters of Cambaratiba booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cambaratiba's Stanislaw Lichucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 11th minute of play. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Stanislaw Lichucki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Tasos Fasoulas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute, Belmiro Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eurico Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambaratiba's protests and gave Eurico Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. Dudu Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanislaw Lichucki was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Stanislaw Lichucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tasos Fasoulas made the kick off in the second half. Tasos Fasoulas took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tasos Fasoulas in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Cambaratiba getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Diguinho Vaz hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Fasoulas came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Cambaratiba's Tasos Fasoulas. But to his dismay, Tasos Fasoulas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Tasos Fasoulas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cambaratiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tasos Fasoulas couldn't finish the play. Cambaratiba's Eduardo Mandrak was substituted for Tasos Fasoulas. Eduardo Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambaratiba. Eduardo Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Mandrak in the 93rd minute of the match. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
