Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Walmir Pombal sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Catugi FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vicente Valladares in the 21st minute. The corner ended in Vicente Valladares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. After 24 minutes, Katona Janos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hungary and the Catugi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Katona Janos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Vicente Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reko Nybacka was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Soares made a kick off. Tristan Lenaerts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. Catugi FC were furious when Ernesto de Amaral was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 63rd minute, Ernesto de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Reko Nybacka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Balazs Lajos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Reko Nybacka made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Reko Nybacka in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 71st minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pombal in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Tristan Lenaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Reko Nybacka in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Hungary booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edson Couto during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Couto. In the 96th minute, Erik Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
