The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 4 in the game by Salomón Avendaño from a close distance when the talented Wilson Amorim managed to make a qualified save. Portugal's players were relieved. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salomón Avendaño in the 5th minute of play. When Salomón Avendaño came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the TurboUC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomón Avendaño couldn't finish the play. John Snow was extremely unlucky when he, in the 8th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Salomón Avendaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, TurboUC's Salomón Avendaño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that John Snow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Snow in the 19th minute of the match. Felipe Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ron Boemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salomón Avendaño succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. TurboUC's Ron Boemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 35th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salomón Avendaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ron Boemans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, TurboUC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Ron Boemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, TurboUC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksey Mazaev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Portugal booed when TurboUC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Tadić didn't get a good kick on the ball.

TurboUC's Xie Zheng Liang was substituted for Dušan Tadić. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 54th minute of play forced TurboUC's goalkeeper Ron Boemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ron Boemans came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipe Barreto. But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Boemans saved TurboUC from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Salomón Avendaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Snow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Xie Zheng Liang made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Salomón Avendaño immediately put the ball in play. Felipinho Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Ron Boemans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Felipinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Ron Boemans managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ron Boemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipinho Amorim came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ron Boemans could save by the left post. In the 95th minute of the match, Felipinho Amorim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ron Boemans was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
