An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Frechoso in the 75th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cornelius Torp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio César made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Samuele Kunz sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Samuele Kunz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Federico Wiesendanger charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Wiesendanger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Federico Wiesendanger hit a great ball. Jimeno Matai's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Hias Nüssli - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 89th minute.
