With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 15th minute of play forced Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 27th minute of the match, Elizardo Massana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars Batzer having to make a save. Lars Batzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 28th minute of the match. Mario Vielva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Lars Batzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 31st minute of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. Carqueja's Lars Batzer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Carqueja from getting a goal against them. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Batzer having to interfere. In the last second Lars Batzer throw himself and got hold of the ball when Viriato Moura in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With his leg Lars Batzer managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lars Batzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 69th minute of play. Lars Batzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Lars Batzer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Barreto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Oliverio Cavallosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. If Elizardo Massana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
