Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. Kees Mooiweer got a throw-in 3 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lars Meesters. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 4th minute of play forced Messejana SportClub - DMZ's goalkeeper Per-Olof Sikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Melo in the 8th minute of play. Per-Olof Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 13th minute of play forced Messejana SportClub - DMZ's goalkeeper Per-Olof Sikström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Olof Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juarês Melo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per-Olof Sikström came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th minute of the match, Mário Veiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Olof Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 32nd minute of play. Per-Olof Sikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Per-Olof Sikström. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Yuri Alberto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juarês Melo was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Bebeto Santos was substituted for Darío Furlan. Messejana SportClub - DMZ made a substitution. André Luiz Pitta replaced Mário Veiga. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. Erik Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Lars Meesters took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per-Olof Sikström. Per-Olof Sikström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 76th minute of the match, Lars Meesters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Per-Olof Sikström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Messejana SportClub - DMZ were furious when Yuri Alberto was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Messejana SportClub - DMZ! The referee gave Netherlands a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Per-Olof Sikström. 0-6. 88 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Pitta came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Vladimir Serena got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juarês Melo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Per-Olof Sikström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Messejana SportClub - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juarês Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
