Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfredão Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cremonese FC's Lino Valladares got a free kick in the 7th minute. Dráusio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 10th minute of play. Dráusio Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Nygaard went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Cremonese FC were awarded a corner. Alfredão Cosme went to the cornerflag to take it. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Marcus Batista scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 1-1. Dráusio Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráusio Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Cremonese FC defense, Bertram Svenningsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráusio Ortiz. The Cremonese FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráusio Ortiz should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Lino Valladares in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. Dráusio Ortiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Cremonese FC's Dida Tróia got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Ortiz having to interfere. Alfredão Cosme hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Ortiz having to interfere. After the first half Denmark were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Batista in the 52nd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Cremonese FC's Dráusio Ortiz got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Nygaard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Dráusio Ortiz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Mathias Ludvigsen got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Batista in the 58th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dráusio Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Bjarne Kirkegaard in the 65th minute really tested Dráusio Ortiz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Dráusio Ortiz managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Denmark's Chris Nygaard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dráusio Ortiz. In the 89th minute Dida Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dráusio Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
