In the 19th minute, Benedykt Lanczak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedykt Lanczak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Carol Stinga made a huge save. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Olaru in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Ciumak in the 28th minute of play forced Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Onur-Recep Kıvrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Olaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Serban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carol Stinga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedykt Lanczak in the 31st minute. Onur-Recep Kıvrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sanda Cutov, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Sanda Cutov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Onur-Recep Kıvrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Onur-Recep Kıvrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Olaru in the 40th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Ediz Tanbolat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ and the Romania players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Romania booed when Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediz Tanbolat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedykt Lanczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carol Stinga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 50 played minutes Romania got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Nita. Vasile Ciumak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onur-Recep Kıvrak having to interfere. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Onur-Recep Kıvrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Onur-Recep Kıvrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Onur-Recep Kıvrak managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Romania's Sanda Cutov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Benedykt Lanczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedykt Lanczak in the 69th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Romania's Onur-Recep Kıvrak threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vasile Ciumak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Ahmet Harun Siraceddin was substituted for Radu Stegaru. Romania made a substitution. Alexandru Pangratiu replaced Alex Serban. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ made a substitution. Yağız Macit replaced Ediz Tanbolat. Romania made a substitution. Anton Stinga replaced Adam Olaru. After 75 minutes Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sanda Cutov who took care of the corner kick. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilias Panoulias in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Ilias Panoulias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carol Stinga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Romania defense, Ilias Panoulias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carol Stinga. The Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carol Stinga should have stopped the shot. Ilias Panoulias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carol Stinga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ferdi Eriş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Stinga had several of the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Onur-Recep Kıvrak as he didn't even see the shot coming. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
