In the 3rd minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alketas Bourouselos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szekeres Tamas made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Takacs Tibor immediately put the ball in play. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Themos Leontiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 14th minute of play. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Alketas Bourouselos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. 19 minutes in the game Szekeres Tamas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Takacs Tibor. With an all-out effort, Panionios MK's Fodor Daniel threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Themos Leontiadis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 28th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Szekeres Tamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Themos Leontiadis got free with Fodor Daniel in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Antal Valentin hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the game, Themos Leontiadis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 55 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balazs Lajos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 58th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Panionios MK got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Argyris Ksagorarakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Argyris Ksagorarakis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. 61 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. The Panionios MK fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A sloppy throw-in by Szekeres Tamas in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Fanis Salepis. Alketas Bourouselos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. Szekeres Tamas got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Takacs Tibor. With his leg Alketas Bourouselos managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Hungary's Antal Valentin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alketas Bourouselos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Themos Leontiadis took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 85th match minute, Panionios MK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argyris Ksagorarakis to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Leontiadis came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
